According to the calendar, summer is just about here. Many kids have finished the school year and are excited to be done. Many parents are left wondering what to do with kids who are not on a regular schedule. With most things in life, when we get derailed from our regularly scheduled programming it takes a while to bounce back into a routine. I have jr. high and high school aged kids and we are all so grateful for a break from the school grind. Mornings to sleep in and afternoons to hang out with friends are on the agenda. However, the realization of the first day of school and it's crushing timeframe has me already feeling anxious. Do you do that? Do you pre-plan your stress?

School's Out for Summer!
June 07, 2018
I don't believe that we are called to live in a place where we spend time afraid of what life has for us. I think it's wise to make plans for the future and be able to look forward to what is in store. Investing appears daunting at times as news reports fill our heads with that dang ol' fear. Sitting down and having conversations with someone who has watched the history of the market and works with the fine details of the financial world might very well set a person at ease. There is no need to stress for the future when there are known details for today. Is a school schedule the same as placing money in the hands of someone else? No, but fear and stress reside in both if we let them. My encouragement is to not let the unknown future ruin the enjoyment of today!
